YOU decide

Luke Kelly?
Or Marty Morrisey

Willow http://willowmanor.blogspot.com/ cleverly suggested to post pictures of myself with and without beard to see if people could judge which is best.I think you'll agree i look fairly gorgeous either way so it will be a tough decision. Votes please, 'Yes please! To keep the beard and'I think I'm gonna puke' to get rid of it.The people's republic of EEjit is many things but above all it is a democracy and you fellow bloggers ,as honory citizens, will have the final say as to whether I, TFE, look a twat or a total twat. Thank you.
Ps. In case you are wondering at the clorious regalia i is wering, it is the beautiful blue and gold of God's own county Tipperary (mainly North) whose wondrous hurling team (hurling: the greatest sport in the world) have reached the All Ireland finals in search of the holy grail,The Liam McCarthy cup.In the first week of September they (David) will take on the might of Killkenny(Goliath)in an epic battle of brain, brawn and unparalleled skill.

Well, as a guy with a beard I've gotta vote keep it. One of your commentors on the last post discussed keeping the beard trimmed. I will say this is very sound advice!

The intellectual pose is making me lean toward unshaven. By "hurling", I presume you don't mean in the Australian sense.

Good luck to Tipperary for the Liam McCarthy cup. I like the shirt but I think I'm gonna puke anyway - it's hard to make a decision from those photos, though I think the second one is slightly better. You look more intelligent in that one. So yes, it's definite - I think I'm gonna puke!

The were-eejit every time! :)

Thanks John, good advice and that's one vote for beard.

Thanks ArtSparker. If the Australian version of hurling were a sport,I'd be world champion six times over. And that's another vote for beard, making a running total of er, um,er wait now ,yes 2.

Thanks for the good luck to Tipp ,Heather. And it looks like your definitely gonna puke (Australian hurling again)So that's a NO beard, making 2 to 1 in favour of beard. This is exciting,I wish I had a swingometer.

Thanks Dominic, a Were-EEjit is a frightening thought and that's another vote for beard , now leading 3 to 1.

Glad you like the Clash tune Madame Niamh and that is yet another vote for beard, this is quite amazing as the exit polls were predicting a yes to Lisbon.

The score is now 4 against one in favour of beard. The polls don't close till sometime between now and another time that has yet to be decided,so it's all to play for and not too late for some door to dor canvassing and threatening to beat people up unless they vote the way you want.

I started laughing as soon as I saw your thumbnail on my blogroll!!! Hmm. Yes, fairly gorgeous either way. This is a hard decision. I say keep it, nicely trimmed, of course.

You've gotta be a Scorpio.

My vote:

YES....PLEASE!!!!

pretty please???? ; )
(That's how you'll need to ask Mrs. Eejit. Don't forget the wink.)

Oh keep it... for a while. What does the missus say, I'd follow her guidelines, if I were you... :)

Thank you Willow for voting on your own excellent idea another vote for beard(with the recurring terms and conditions of being neatly trimmed.Interesting) So that makes it 5 to 1 in favour of beard.

That's a definite beard from Jeanne with good advice for negotiating conservation of the chin pelt. 6 to 1 now, this is loking like a landslide, maybe everybody should wear a beard?

Ooh , a tentative yes beard from the bold bard Barbara, with underlying caveat to keep Mrs EEjit happy.Sound advice methinks.
The tally now beard fans is 7 to 1.
The polls will close at midnight tonight and the will of the public implemented.Tomorrow morn will EEjit wield the razor or have another 5 minutes in bed? Only YOU can decide.

I think keep it nicely trimmed, with the wolf head. That's very pretty and may attract adoration from, well, other wolves.

Thanks, Jules, whatever about the beard I'm really pleased with, and hope to maintain, the lupine head of hair.Another vote for (neatly trimmed again-seems to be the order of the day)beard. As the polls slowly draw near to closing, at 8 to 1 ,it's looking like a landslide victory for the world of beards.Unless of course YOU know better.

Well, I think I'm gonna hurl! Looks like a lost cause for Heather and I, sadly. As it's so bloody cold and wet in Ireland I suspect a beard is a good plan if only to keep your chin warm. I know, I am that blow in from Clare, BT. I did try to buy a house in Tip, but after a year of deliberation (normal in Irish time), the lady decided not to sell. The priest (yes, I said priest) who sold us the house (ostensibly), ran off with my £1000 too. So much for the clergy.

Now, where was I? Oh yes, about 10 miles from Gort now and it never stops feckin' raining. We have had builders doing a small extension since last November. I guess this is normal in Ireland too. Sighs. Keep the bloody beard then, I don't care.

Totalfeckineejit said...

Welcome BT and that's a (I think I'm gonna puke) no beard vote.Hold the front page ,no, wait a minute the tide is turning beardy ,it's a reluctant but definite yes!Everyone in Tipp says they're a priest even the donkeys.I know ther's been a downturn in the market but€1000 was a pretty good price for a house. And now your in Clare? 'Oh it's a long ,long way, it get's further by the day,it's along waaaaaaay from Clare to here' unless your singing in Gort of course.

well this last minute vote from BT brings the yet to be verified tally to 8 to 1 in favour of keeping the beard.Only YOUR wedge of cash can change things now.

Does Setanta show The Hurling? We get the station for the EPL (Kev plays in the Fantasy League and I get treated to that gorgeous Setanta theme-music until I think I'll go mad!)

I stay away for one day and I miss everything! (Just as well, since I could not vote based on your two choices. Besides, you know how I feel already.)

luke kelly all de way!... oh.. and .. yay!.. Up Tipp! (since we live smack bang on the border)

By the way, I love that pendulous lamp in the background. That is exactly the sort we've been searching for to put in the corner of our living room. If I change my mind about the beard, can you ship yours over to me? I'll never find it here.

Is that you and Mrs. Eejit on the wall (in the drawing)?
By the way, it looks as if the beard isn't your only problem. You need to have a go at those tartar-stained teeth.

Nice one Watercats, did you see the Luke Kelly documentary the other night? He was different than I expected/remembered but still one of my all time favourite singers (after you two)Tipp need all the supportb they can get!

Not sute about Setanta ,Kat, I think they've gone bust here.I was away last year when Tipp were playing waterford and tried pubs ,clubs, Irish bars, television ,internet, black magic , magic mushrooms, conversing with distant planets and telepathy but no way could that match be seen. How's Kev getting on in the fantasy league?
The lamp was a 40th birthday present for Mrs EEjit but the shop has a few similar left so I could pigeon post one to you.In fact if you are serious i think the fella does ship? And ha ,ha the painting, yes, we bought it years ago because we thought it looked like us, even the girl that framed it for us remarked on the (flattering) likeness. If we see a picture of Podge and Rodge now http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podge_and_Rodge we would buy it for the same reason :)
