Ah,Fugh it, we'll have a real election!

The Poetry Bus would be nothing without you, yes YOU, the poets, so here at The Peoples Lost Republic Of EEjit, we have decided to let you decide who drives your bus.

Yes folks I've fished the limp remnant of Democracy out of the water, given it the kiss of life, smelling salts, a cup of strong tay and a Jaffa cake. So we will have a vote to see who will be driving the poetry bus this Monday. You can vote once only, for one person only(unless you give me €10, then you can vote as many times as you like, but remember to wear a disguise each time and change your voice a little ) To cast your vote simply leave the name of the person you wish to drive the bus in the comments section.Voting will end at 12 midnight on Saturday. All votes wll then be counted using the latest in hands free electronic vote rigging,er I mean counting, machines. The winner will be announced sometime on Sunday.

The new line up of candidates is as follows:

1) Margaret Thatcher (The conservative Party)

2)Elvis Presley (The All NIght Party)

£) Homer Simpson ( C.N.D)

4) Amy Winehouse (Third Party Fire and Theft)

5)Sylvia Plath (I Don't Want To Party)

6) Mona Lisa ( The Arty Party)

7) Damien Hurst (The Arty Farty Party)

8) Brian Cowen ( The Party Is Over)

9) Paris Hilton (Tarty Party)

10) Albert Einstein (Smarty Party)

DEMOCRACY, you know it makes sense - ask a Unicorn.

Hey! What happened to Brendan Behan? I was looking forward to his driving. He's my patron saint.

I'm for Elvis Paisley, I mean, Presley.

Project ready to post!

Where's Bassey gone?

Well I was going to say Homer but then I had a quick listen to the task and realised Homer would think that 'music' was a pile of crap so maybe he'd not be best. Maybe Einstein might enjoy it more.

Elvis Presley, thank you very much. (and in my neck of the woods, it's a bottle of booze that buys the votes)

I've heard that Simpson promises donuts all around. That could get him my vote, but the beer quality could suffer (no, quantity does not make up for that), so I'm uncertain.

I made it to the bottom of the list, only to find the one man whom I would trust to transport us through this inter-dimensional journey: Albert Einstein.
Big Al. Big Al. He's our man. If anyone can do it, Big AL can!

Yes - what has happened to Behan - I was looking forward to the ride.
So therefore as he is no longer a candidate I reserve my right to spoil my ballot paper.

I'll vote for Elvis too.

Albert Einstein for me. Foolish vote as I haven't read the challenge yet, mind you, I odn't let the little matter of facts get in the way of a really stooooooopid comment.

Since you have removed Shirley Bassey from the list, it's a close call between Homer Simpson and Albert Einstein. I think we'd all be safer with Albert. I love your photo of the fallen leaves.

I had to include this quote from Big Al...don't know if this works for or against him, tho.

"Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves." ~ Albert Einstein

What's in the envelope? Do you know I've not even opened it to find out. Could be anything in there, maybe money, maybe a bill for the replacement of all the panes in my glass house after my stone-throwing orgy. Damn! It's a letter about car insurance and I don't even got a car!

It HAS to be Einstein drivin' da bus. Just lookat all these luverly quotes.
