Today's the Day.

Sometimes we all live

sometimes we don't regret

sometimes are the best times

sometimes there's no time to think

(throw caution to each of the four winds)

sometimes the needle fits

sometimes I get the best of it

sometimes the sun shines

sometimes no one dies

sometimes

TFE, this is amazing. I was feeling a bit melancholy, so I popped in to see if you had posted anything new. I just posted my 'One Line Poem of the Day' on Facebook, and it began with the word, 'Sometimes...' Great minds, and all that.

LOVE your poem!

Hello Jeanne, well, one great mind(yours) and a TFE, thinking alike is cool dipping into the same little poetry pool.Hope the melancholia has gone, if not, when no one is looking just skip down the road a bit, I swear it's not possible to feel blue and skip at the same time.It will make you smile- guaranteed.

That's got pretty much all of what it takes, I would say! I like it a lot. It's a poem I could keep going back to.

Is that dog moonwalking?....
Having spent a while reading through your poetry... I've come to the conclusion that, you are actually as great as you claim!...

Puts me in mind of Stevens' "of Bright & Blue Birds and the Gala Sun". Hmmm, maybe I'll work that into a post now that I'm thinking of it.

Hi TFE - it is good to have you back. I began to think you had disappeared down that lovely lane on your header, never to return.
I like the poem - all the time, not sometimes.

Linked you in my Question #3 post.

Good one, TFE-- you're still seeing stars in a good way-- poetically!

I'm surprised
I'm totally enjoying your playlist
Recalled how much I liked Tracy Chapman
and why I loved Losing My Religion, REM
I was just picking CHICKEN off the bone,
in preparation for throwing it into the soup.
Got 5 hours before Jook (Chinese chicken-rice porridge) happens
All this done to the sound of your playlist in the background
thanks

Hello Feck, do you know, right now, this is exactly fitting? With upset and family crap on my O.H.'s side, I've been so thankful of the 'free days' where we let our hair down and just 'do stuff'. Life seems awfully fragile at the moment, and this poem reminds me how good it is to see him laugh like a child and just be alive. x

Hello Laurie, welcome to my humble ablog1 And thanks for listening to those groovy toons.Tracy Chapman is coool iplayed her album to death years ago but it still sounds good now-class.Liked REM when they were less well known and indie, lost something with success but still capable of a few good toons along the way.Internet is crazee I'm picturing you dancing in your kitchen preparing food thousands of miles away while listening to these songs and I'm thinking I'd LOVE to try some jook!

Hello Auntie, very difficult times for you and yours, I can barely begin to imagine, but yes, life, you are so right, can seem awfully fragile, whether it be a million years or a day, I'm so glad you manage to enjoy those 'free days' though and really hope for good things, the best things, to happen for you all.

TFE, adore that song 'On a day like this'...have just come back from a haberdashery (that word always makes me think of knights of old for some reason...anyway...onwards..)store and sorely needed that song and your poem is pretty damn clever and good and speaks to me a lot...

Is that Molly's silhouette...how is she doing now?

cheers, TFE : )

Ah, Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz liz liz Liz liz Liz liz liz liz liz Liz Liz liz liz Liz Liz Liz liz li z\liz Liz liz liZ liz Liz liz Liz liz liz liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz Liz liz YOU IZ THE BIZ, Liz.The Biz knees.Haberdashers is such a great word dohaberdashers still exist in this vicinity? knights of old? Yes, reminds me of the difference between a baker and a knight, one darts into the foe the other.............??????Answers on a loaf of farty bread please.Elbows mighty anthem is my favourite song at the moment, pop pickers, and I'm delighto ye liked it ,I'm more truly delighted and proud dat ye might have liked me pome and it mean something to ye a real pote.Apart from being published alongside rare gifted, talented voices, tis wot the whole shenanigans is about(if it is about anyting at all)And no, dat is not Molly dough tis a picture that I actually meant to take as opposed to the useyouall point-and-hope effort upon whose bones I more often feast or the rock upon wwhich i build the church of my failure. And the Molly is a dolly of a dog as elegant as Audrey Hepburn and as beautiful as a neatly poured pint of Black,we are intoxicated by her and can't imagine a life before or after her.The bold Bosco(who looked the spit of Dick the Boyo) is re-housed and happy in Dubblinne and by more coincidence our muscious Molly looks a little like the husky doogy ye have.I've had a leetle drink against Doctor's Diktat-hope it does nay shooow. :0
