Oh! Mouse, mouse,
though we think
mice are nice,
we didn't like you around
the house,
eating our home,
or,
the cord from the telephone,
so,
we fucked ye out of it.
Okay, strictly speaking this may not be an ode,we don't live in a house ( castle didn't rhyme and rhyme was the vital essence of the poem) we don't have a phone but that's poetry. Also we didn't feck the poor little mouse out of the castle at all,no,no,no. ........We poisoned it.

You are getting to be so prolific with your sculptures TFE - I like this one, but as you say you don't want mice in the house. We had them in our larder and had to ask them to leave. They got into a newly made batch of muesli and left their calling cards. Not nice. I had to throw it all away. I love the new header photo - all that lovely empty space and a feeling of peace and tranquility.
We managed to get rid of the mice.. it made room for the rats... nice piece of poetry in their honour, their tiny lives weren't totally wasted!.. :-)
Another coincidence, TFE! I just took a facebook quiz on "What writer's spirit lives with you?" and mine is E.B. White. Is this mouse's name Stuart by any chance?
The markings on the cube add an artistic flair. Lovely!
I don't think Bobbie Burns needs to look to his laurels at this point.
Thanks watercats, you're right apparently rats and mice won't share the same space,so maybe it's best have the mice? Had a rat in the roof of a bungalow once.It sounded like a herd of wildebeest at night. Not nice!
Hey Jeanne, more synchronshiteisity! Did he write Stewart Little then? The cube is deadly isn't it?
Hi ArtSparker....Oooh, ouch! Dhat hoits. :)

Glad you like the new header,I like that you found it peaceful and tranquil, thanks!
