TWO BUSES BEAT AS ONE

Well peeps of the planet Earth, the virtual weekly poetry bus is a flying HERE
(Flying Fox?)

And issue one of the real physical Poetry Bus Magazine has, wait for it, GONE TO THE PRINTERS!!! I can hardly believe it myself, but you can only stand over the pot for so long, sooner or later ya gotta pee.
Financially it's all a tight-rope high-wire balancing act now, so if you have folding MONEY burning a hole in your pocket,or, if you have coins down the back of the sofa, please throw them into the pot (not the piss pot) POETRY BUS HONEY POT HERE
via the PayPal donate button.

Your rewards will be manifold and magnificent!

Wrote this between panic attacks, needs work! I've been far too light hearted of late, tis time I got back to my modus operandi of misery, apologos!

Hugh, Pugh, Barley MacGrew,

everything was new,

glorious in colourful non sense.

'Weed, little weed'

Bill and Ben

and then The Zen

Zebedee with those awful

Concluding words twisting fear

Papa Gigio,Bleep and Booster,

Scooby Dooby Doo!

Fine toned anthem for

Marine Boy, and I was always too late

to see George Best Soccer skills

No matter how hard I ran from school

just the solar plexus punch

Of the final credits every time.

Typhoo cards would have to do for me

Dougal in paleblue plastic from the cornflakes

and Bubble gum football heroes

Free from scandal free from vice

Everything is sweet clean and nice

Wndy Miller drunk as a skunk

on cider and windmill dreams

And Mrs Honeyman gossip supreme

Just an idle peddlar of themes

Nobody hung at the end of her

nosey noosey tongue.

No prizes for guessing what you read in yout spare time! Love it - and the new header - wish you were sitting on the chair though and then we could see what you really look like!

Your new header really has the WOW factor Peadar. How I would love to walk on that beach - it's gorgeous. Love your poem - now I know you're the same age as my children! I missed the bus this week - too many choices to make for the poem and too busy to choose one and work on it.

... nice read! Though I only recognized Scooby Dooby Doo! Born too early and in the wrong part of the world is my only excuse.

I love the header, too, and the thoughts of getting that Bus Mag in hand!
As to the poem, though, Only Scooby do I know!

God, there's some memories in there. Windy Miller, the butt of many jokes, the Flowerpot Men, was it not Topo Gigio?

And all these years I thought it was Hugh, Pugh Barney MacGrew... Ah, well, learn something every day.
A real gem of a poem - and a flipping marvelous header.

No, no guys, listen to the Camberwick Green, Trumpton and Chigley Queen. It was Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grub. By Captain Flack.
And Mrs Honeydew's little dog was called Packet, which was the euphemism my mother had adopted for a poo (which is a shit - poo is my euphemism, and don't get me started on why I ever said "Bottom Noises"), so me and my little brother used to double up laughing on the floor whenever she said "Come on Packet".
My father really did try to get home from market in time to see these programmes.

But Papa Gigio? Who he?

Loved it, especially the solar plexus punch of the final credits.
