Do you have good days and bad days - because sometimes your blog is so happy and so funny and other times it almost has me in tears. Do you really think that about life TFE - because I belong to the school of thought that thinks you can - to a large extent - plot the way your life goes. I believe in massive U turns if the occasion demands it. Am working on that Monday poem.
That's quality folks. A brilliant haquai. My god, the man's almost a genius. Triple distilled it is!
A few years ago I unthinkingly (?)hung my jacket on the wire coat hanger on the nail on the wall at MUMOK (Museum of Modern Kunst) and was immediately approached by the man in crepe soled shoes and quietly bollocked. A pair of wellies standing nearby was the exhibit.
Good days, bad days, moments even.I am a depressive recluse and take (prescription) tablets as an anaesthetic, alcohol too.Aren't we always trying to distance ourselves from the awful reality of life and death? We are (are we?) masters of our own destiny.Apart from my family writing perhaps means most and happy doesn't cut the mustard so if i don't exactly cultivate unhappiness I certainly reap it's yield.I get annoyed, I get angered, mainly I get hurt and rather than let it fester,I get it out of my system and writing is such a good de-tox.Wit and happiness is definitely the way to go in life and yes U turn, turn the world upside down if you have to, take the path less travelled, but I was never moved by a poem of happiness.Tears and happiness Is what I hoped for from my blog, thank you Weaver, though in this instance I fear the qualities of the reader far outweigh the quality of the writing!Keep working on that Monday poem,I'm expecting good work Weaver, or there will be trouble!
TFE, Your correspondence with weaver alerts me to Monday. Yet again, I fear must apologise for non-attendance. I've left a tenner over the bar with Doris.
lol.. (the big ben thing!)... It's true.. I don't think there was a (decent) poet who ever lived that wasn't a duality. Mind you, I've only ever read Seamus Heany, Yeats and Dylan Thomas.. Writing is definately cathartic.. it can also get you into heaps of shit when someone reads it who doesn't understand your meaning fully (like family members etc..) what would happen if you did microwave Jameson's?.... hhhmmmmmm
Hey PIR, what do you mean ,'almost'? :) That's really funny what you did in MUMOK and haven't we all hung our coats where we shouldn't at some time or another? I remember making a glorious exit from a classroom into a broom cupboard.I've had a phobia about brooms ever since.
Afternoon, Eej! How are you? Just to let you know that Superman attended the South Gloucestershire show on the Bank Holiday. He rode into our western town on a horse, then promtly found himself a trollop! The photos are on my blog and he is heading for Mad Aunt Bernards hedge as we speak! He asked me to tell you that he is now an accomplished rider, gunslinger, gambler and town drunk. Happy trails!
Howdy Jules!Whey hey fame at last ,I've always wanted my work to appear on THE SOUTH (gloucestershire) BANK (holiday)SHOW.How is old Melvyn? Bragging about a new book? Thanks a million Jules for bringing my assemblage along with you, must go and have a look!
Don't for goodness sake switch the microwave on or you'll be serving drinks to the neighbourhood! I keep forgetting to say how much I like your urban photos. I'm a country person really, but the photos are interesting and full of contrasts, detail, light and shade. My favourite is still the horses on the beach. See you on Monday.

If microwave bells tolled... I now have a vision of Big Ben going ping-ping-ping-ping-etc.

It would be coll Dominic if Big Ben pinged and then a cuckoo on a giant spring popped out!

Hey Jeanne, watch the pretty bottles go round and round and round and.....
Beep--ping--toll; quite something to think of the microwave & an actual bell ringing. Love your header pic by the way--two guitars with Pignose amps!
