NanU sane science Part Two!

Love is. Is love?

Bread and milk and cheese

Did the black board duster

Bring you to your knees

Chalk and cheese?

Or any of these?

Did love find you

Overcome and bind you

Tie you to the tracks

Beat you to the rhythm of your heart?

Why do we fall in love ?

Fall from the tallest tower

Fall from grace

Fall pregnant

Disgrace

Why do fools fall, in love,

Hand in hand through the

Rain

The neon

Lights

Life falling

Truth

Falling

Rain drops

Falling

Night falling

Till we

Hit

The ground ?

Falling is such an interesting description of things that could be positive - are we happy, or not? Hmmm.

The body language of the two potential lovers in that photo says everything.

"beat you to the rhythm of your heart" great line there, TFE! A fascinating question and the research is still pending.

TFE this has gotta be my favourite piece thus far.
I the love the tumbling cascading rhythm
The words themselves for me fall over themselves - stopping at saliant points
"Beat to the rhythm of your heart"
The off again... falling from grace to disgrace,to pregnacy hand in hand through the rain
It's mouth watering imagery
This has really given my week a good kick start and I woke up in such a bad mood - not anymore. Thank you :)

Made for reciting from rooftops, this one, TFE, love how it tongue-rolled the whole way to ground. Ta-muchly!

This is cool, different and interesting...
Some questions they are...

I love the way you have written this Peadar, and it's very astute.

The hitting the ground part might not be so attractive, but I'd love another go at falling love again anyway! Nice ticket, TFE.

Unsure about the line "Hand in hand through the" - it kinda sticks out. Either shove rain on the end or split it up further! Other than that, a great stream of consciousness.

Love is a free fall and landing on the ground is tough - but the things in between that were brighter and lighter because of love experienced are expressed nicely here! Excellent!

I fell for this poem, TFE! And a stunning end to it. Wow.

I like the rhythm of this and the spontaneity of it. That's a hard stop at the end. Just because we hit the ground, doesn't mean we don't still feel the love though, does it?

Where did you write it?

Kat

Aah love. It is never easy!
I am just visiting to say thank you for the beautiful comment. I didn't know if it was your words or a quote(being a bit of a poetry ignoramus) so googled it. Is it from The Charnel Rose? It is just so beautiful. I have printed it out for reading at my leisure later when not supposed to be working!
Your header picture looks like a good beach-and it has the big stuff to find!

Some of us, Eej, fall in love and never hit the ground.

Incidentally, could you please sit in that chair on your header and do a King Canute, commanding the waves to go back or something. Each time I come to your site i want to see you in that chair!

I think the rhyming works well here and I always like a bit of wordplay
