Still at it, there's no stopping me now!
Picture this.
Work it out
Three simple steps
One moment jig-sawed.
Wide open abstraction- BREATHE!
I never felt more, alive.
You could never find it,
solution, salvation?
All roads lead to Roman
Candles, let them snuff out,
before it… shines.
Never did nobody no wrong!
Grammar, gramer, grasmmer.
Pieces:
of silver,
of gold,
of the pie,
One way puzzled heart
pounding in the flesh.
Top of the flats Ma,
Notice me!
A single shot,
shutter speed slow,
aperture wide open.
Swifts swallow the
black night,
tungsten lights
the way beautiful,
the city shines.
Frame it, the answer unquestioned,
warm breeze through corn fields,
minimum wage, maximum words,
saying nothing, doing…nothing,
living on the way down, this is freedom,
this is how happiness feels,
this could be for ever,
this is my time.

Even doing nothing is doing something when it allows us to breath and feel free. Excellent verse and great gramma ...r
I really like this. "Minimum wage, Maximum words": That could be my epitaph!
Bravo! I really love the ending, this is my time.
oh, misterEejitsir, may I drive two weeks in a row, please?
What an uplifting mood to this poem. You've set me up for the day - thanks Peadar.
you're on a roll!!
living on the way down is good, sad but good.
Keep em coming, you're bound to find inspiration in fluffy bunny rabbits or pumpkin pie soon.
I really liked this, it captures a real sense of the atmosphere lurking everywhere at the moment. Minimum wage and maximum words... that says it all!
You are right, Muse Swings. THanks!
Ha ha! Thanks MTR that's your headstone sorted then!
Thanks NanU!
YES YOu certainly can Nan!
Go go go Heather!
THere was a fluffy Bunny
and people thought it funny
to bake it in a pumpkin pie
oh dear ! Oh My oh my!
Such a glorious clamour of good cheer in dark times, TFE! Well done, both for the good cheer and the celebration of it.
Good to recognize it when it happens, all we have really I think, these moments.
Loving the oxymoronic quality here. Are you a fan of Cagney's "White Heat" too? One of my all-time faves.
