ALMOST LATE FOR THE BUS !!

Busier than a hyperactive bee on amphetamines and a bonus. Will try to get round to read the rest o the passengeroos today.Wrote this real quick, same old same old.Apologos.

Feel the need in me.

Okay, I love you.

So what’s new

I still love you.

I’ve always loved you

Since you took my soul

I’ve put you first

Before all others

Before myself

Despite myself

Because of myself

I walked out a hundred times

And always I came back crawling

I’ve given you my best years

All my words

You took them from me

I needed you

You cut me down

Broke me in two

I took you back

you tried to kill me

I forgave you

On my lips first thing in the morning

Last thing at night

I spent every cent I had on you

The more I held you

The more I needed you

I was lost I was found

The journey more travelled

The road twofold

The answer to the question

The question to the answer

You have me now

You always had me

You’ll never let me go

My darling, my demon ,my drug, my drink.

Meanwhile here is the king of unrequited, Mr Morriseyo

That's what we do for each other, TFE. A couple of uneasy shifters about the 1:30 mark. C'est la Vie.

Dark chocolate. Rich, strong, bitter but so delicious! Spare sock and sandwhiches under the back seat.

Dear Total: Are you sure you did not invade my brain and make a poem about unrequitted the quitless kind o' love! Brilliant as per unusal!

Oh TFE - dare I say on this blog (or is it tantamount to inflammatory talk) that I do not drink - or only very rarely - mostly because I don't like the taste - sorry. Like your poem though.

Gosh TFE that's a deep one. I like it as shows the light and the dark the yin and yang of "love" at least that's my take on your piece.
And this you wrote in a hurry - if only I could do the same!

Written from a place deep within ... this is awesome!

Yo, TFE, I relate. It's hell when the drink is your unrequited love. I thought it made me more eloquent and ever so artistic, till we finally broke up for good and I learned to talk without it. What a fool was I!

oh, I liked it TFE - and the last line, unexpected, powerful.

Beautiful poem, TFE. This illustrates well the old adage, 'better late than never.'

That's an amazing poem TFE. My brain's in a whirl but I'm speechless.

I feel this way about chocolate - seriously! See the poem I posted yesterday. Sigh. You definitely captured that helpless feeling well.

"I took you back, you tried to kill me" Yes, I think it works. Some might say it needs a little polishing but rough and ready and honest is where your writing scores.

Good stuff with a brilliantly ambiguous twist at the end.

luverlee... I missed the bus again after my headspacebreak.. loved this poem and of course, anything with Morrisay included has got to be good.. not sure the slightly vintage looking audience agree with that though, tee hee!

Chilling stuff. The last line reminded me, for some reason, of the song Brother Nicotine - another ode on addiction, as I remember. Haven't heard it for years).

If the collective Unrequited got together and voted for Morrissey as their king, would they love him?

Love the pome - the answer to the question/the question to the answer. Great stuff

Ah, this is nice and ambiguous, but I think I'll embrace the duplicity. You can pull out for different occasions - an anniversary, or a bender. A really strong piece, either way. I liked it massively.

Impressive and resonates deep.

On a lighter note, I make my husband impersonate Mel's William Wallace and say the fourth line to me. He's very good.
